We need a genuine revelations of the understanding of Gods love towards us. If we fully understood Gods feelings and love for us, our lives would be completely transformed. We would no longer be timid and ill, but instead we would have unlimited boldness, authority, and confidence through Christ love and his death on the cross. God sent his son to serve and to love, so that He would set an example for us to follow. But we don’t know what perfect love looks like. We say we “love” lots of things and people, but its not even close enough to be compared to Christ love for us and the church.
Apart from Christ we can do NO thing (John 15:5 ) but with christ we can do ALL things (Phil 4:13 ). If we stay joined to Christ and we keep His word in us, His love will remain in us (John 15:5 ).
We can NEVER lose Christ love towards us! God gave us His love while we were still sinners. (Rom 5:6-8 ). If He loved us then, before we knew better, how much more can we experience His love now that we know even just a little piece of His love. THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO TO EARN GOD’S LOVE!!! He gives it to us freely and it will never leave us (Rom 8:38-39 ).
Joy is a fruit of God’s love (John 15:11 ) and God’s love produces much fruit! Depression, sadness, malice, hatred, and fear are all opposites of love and joy. If we are experiencing any of these, we then are not fully understanding Gods love.
ANYTHING THAT STEALS YOUR JOY IS NOT TRUE LOVE!
Joy is a byproduct of Christ love! If this is no joy in our lives or we aren’t joyful, its not that christ has stopped loving us, for Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. But instead its because we are
1.) out of His word or
2.) not letting christ love us because of something we have done.
The word says we can do NOTHING to lose God’s love (Rom 8:35 ). If we stay in Gods love/word He will grant us the mercy and grace that we ask for and need (John 15:7 ).
I know I need to let God love me and I need a revelation of Gods love for me. To see God the way he truly is will transform how I see myself and others as well. God gave us two commandments: Love God and Love Others. If we do this, all the others will take care of themselves.
God is LOVE

Just a quick hit here. I went down to see my fiance this last weekend and we did all the fun prewedding stuff like registering and taking engagement pictures. Let me tell ya registering at Target is WAY fun and you can update and change things online after you have registered. Walmart was ok, but not as cool or as fun as Target. I definitely recommend the bulls-eye!
Secondly we got our engagement photos done by a gal named Tera. She is above amazing and I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone wanting to capture anything in the way of photography. She did a phenomenal job! Its hard to find good quality things in life, and I believe in promoting those certain things that I find to help others. Tera is one of those! Here is her site…
oh and here is some of her latest work including me and my fiances pictures! Enjoy!

Ok so I’ve been doing some research on just the basic word of Disciple and here is what I have…so far:
DISCIPLE: one who embraces or assist in spreading the teachings of another
or, an active adherent
-appears 232 times in the 4 gospels and Acts
and here are some thoughts to think about…
-Jesus had a large following but only 12 disciples.
-Jesus says in John 13:34 to love one another and by this love people will know we are his DISCIPLES. So all we have to do is love others to stick out of society and people will see something different in us? So whats the opposite of love…hate and fear. And God says that perfect love cast out all fear.(1John 4:18 )
-Disciple is NOT even listed in 1Cor 12:28 where a list of Christs body is located. This leads me to believe that we can be disciples in many different ways.
-Jesus says love others and we will be called disciple -> how? -> love is not what the world is used to seeing -> white on black -> love vs hate/fear -> hating comes from fear -> perfect love cast out all fear (1John 4:18 ) -> what is love -> 1Cor 13:4-10
-1Cor 13:4-7 -> Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
-Love never gives up, Never loses faith, is ALWAYS hopeful, and endures thru EVERY circumstance!
-But this is how God feels about us!!!!! ->How do we know god loves us? ->Rom 5:5 (3-11)
-Love is the greatest! -> 1Cor 12:13, 1Cor 12:31

Well I got engaged over this last christmas so I’m looking forward to getting married this summer! I’m participating in a discipleship training program called DENY which is challenging all of us in it to seek after God in new and different ways. Its challenging but at the same time I can already see the rewards from only being a week into it.
This is Phil Wickham.
I first saw this guy in Manhattan when he opened for David Crowder. Then he was a tiny mustache bearing man with guitar and no band to back him up. You can go to his website and download his newest album called “Singalong”. Its him on his guitar live. If you are looking for a good worship album this is it! Plus ladies he’s british. SINGALONG has a few songs, but mostly its just a bunch of choruses that they sing, mixed in with some good ol hymns. Give it a shot…its a free download off of his website! I burned a copy and I haven’t been able to stop playing it
My sister just had her second baby a couple weeks ago, so for this past weekend I went to go see my brother-in-law, sis, niece, and my new nephew…Oh and I met up with my Jana and we went up to Indiana together to see everyone! It was an amazing trip and I can’t believe how fast those kids are growing! Click Here for some pics of the weekend. And here are a couple more
- All the kids
- The whole fam
- Date Night
It was an amazing time and could not have been more fun!
Short summery of the trip:
Wed night: Left Hays and drove to topeka (3 hour)
Thurs: Drove to Kansas City (1hour) then flew to Nashville (1:20) then drove to Indiana(5.5 hours…thanks to Jana!
love ya babe!)
Fri: Spent in Indiana w/ the fam
Sat: Spent w/ the fam again
Sun:Drove from Indiana to Nashville (4 hours) then flew to St. Louis (1:20)
Mon: Drove from St. Louis back to Hays (9.5 hours)
Yeah it was a ton of travel but I got to see family in Topeka, Indiana, and St. Louis…AND I GOT TO SEE JANA! For anyone dating long distance, its not easy, but it’s definitely doable! and worth it!
Ok so every now and then everyone can use a good laugh. I can’t help myself, I love to laugh. It’s contagious and its good for the body. I am going to see my WONDERFUL girlfriend on thursday for a few days and I have decided that after I see her I am going to grow out the beard for a while…a loooong while, at least until Thanksgiving…or maybe Christmas. The longest I’ve ever grown it out has been for about 5 weeks last Christmas. So I youtubed some mustache and beard growing and found this little gem…click here. Its only a 45 sec video.
Ok so then I’m browsing facebook and i see a profile picture of this nasty looking dude and I have to click on it. Well ends up its a fake but where they got it is hilarious! Go to Yearbook Yourself and do this for yourself. Here is my senior pic if I graduated in 1988
Then you can flip through the years. I think it goes from the 1950’s all the way to 2000. I must say this is one of the best laughs I’ve had in a while.
Welp its been almost exactly a year since I started this and after 7 posts I called it quits, only to get that blogging itch again a couple days ago. Well I haven’t been real up to date but I was laying in bed the other night thinking about starting a book of quotes. It seems like everyday we hear people talking and just filling the silence with stuff, but every now and then we hear something profound. Something maybe so small, but it grabs our attention and we stop and think, “Huh yeah I guess that is true.” or “Hey I never thought about that before.” Whatever the case I believe our words have power and we should use them as such. Words can be whatever we want them to be. Somedays they are just fillers, but other times they mean everything thing. They are the difference between life and death, love and pain, peace and war. Words can do way more than what we give them credit for. A person may die, but their words can live forever, changing peoples lives hundreds of years ahead of them. Words are living and they do WAY more than we know. The following quotes are about speaking/words taken from here.
“It is better to keep one’s mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and resolve all doubt.”
Abraham Lincoln
“Foolishness always results when the tongue outraces the brain.”
Author Unknown
“To speak and to speak well are two things. A fool may talk, but a wise man speaks.”
Ben Jonson
“A word at the right time is like apples of gold in a network of silver.”
Proverbs 25:11
“If everybody thought before they spoke, the silence would be deafening.”
George Barzan
“Once a word has been allowed to escape, it cannot be recalled.”
Horace
…and I leave with this one
“Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.”
Author Unknown
